I LOVE to make bread!! It relaxes me! But, sometimes I just don’t have the time (or energy—like today, I am fighting off a cold) to mix up 5 loaves of bread—not to mention the freezer space to hold said 5 loaves of bread. That is when I pull out my Zojirushi Bread Machine
I love my Zo!! The reason I love it so much, is because it has 2 kneading paddles in the bottom, it is shaped more like a regular loaf of bread, and the pan is so easy to clean!!
I had another bread machine, and the paddle was supposed to lay down at the end of the mixing time, so it didn’t make a big hole. Sometimes it would work, sometimes it didn’t.
Here are all the ingredients in the Zo:
Setting the time (I used Basic, Quick—and it took just under 2 hours)
Loaf all done:
So, here is my Zojirushi with the finished loaf of Italian Bread:
Bottom of the loaf—this time, right before the last rising time, I lifted the dough, and removed the paddles, so I just had post holes.
Here is my affiliate link for the Zojirushi Bread Machine. (This doesn’t cost you anything, but it gives me a small commission)
Here is the recipe I used for the Italian Bread pictured here (from the Zojirushi book)
Place Ingredients in this order in the bread pan:
1 1/2 cups warm water
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon basil
1 tablespoon Rapid Rise Yeast
2 tablespoons Olive Oil
4 1/4 cup bread flour
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
Select Basic Quick, and you are ready to go! Just under 2 hours, you will have a delicious loaf of bread, ready to eat!
The Zo is also great for making dough for pizza!! And, I have a recipe for a soft loaf of bread, using milk. If you want the recipes—just ask!
