Crock pot & liners & Roast recipe

One of my FAVORITE kitchen gadgets is my crock pot (or slow cooker).  It helps me function in hot weather, so I don't have to heat up the house, as well as helping a busy homeschooling mama keep her meal-time sanity.  Well, I think I still have my sanity.  😉

I actually have 2 crock pots, but will showcase this one today.  This is my smaller crock pot.  Which is still large enough for a family--but, when I want to cook 2 whole chickens, I use the bigger crock pot.  My larger slow cooker is not the name brand Crock Pot, and seems to cook a bit on the high side.

This is the Crock Pot 4.5 quart, and the times have always been correct.

I LOVE these liners!!!  They make such quick work of clean-up!!!  I'm all for saving time in the kitchen!!

Here is my roast I made:

I cut up an onion, in chunks, and put it first in the lined crock pot.
Then, I placed my beef roast on top.
I sprinkled 1 onion soup mix all over the roast, flipping it over as needed.
Place the cover on the Crock Pot, and I set it to cook on low for 6-8 hours.  YUM!!

Blessings!
